About Tucker's Pie Co

Tucker's Pie Co. was born from love — and a lifelong search for the perfect pie.

Growing up in England, Derek spent his childhood in the kitchen alongside his mother Bernadette, a passionate home cook and caterer. From the age of ten, he was her apprentice — learning her recipes, her techniques, and her belief that food made with care tastes completely different.

After living in Australia for 15 years and traveling the world, Derek found himself in Connecticut with one craving he couldn't shake: a proper pie. Unable to find one that matched what he knew from home, he did what any self-respecting pie lover would do — he made his own.

After researching and testing hundreds of pastry recipes, he landed on Tucker's signature crust: an English-Australian hybrid that's buttery, flaky, and strong enough to hold any filling. The response from friends was overwhelming, and Tucker's Pie Co. was born — named in honour of Bernadette.

Every pie is still made by hand in small batches from our kitchen in Fairfield County CT. We hope it brings you as much joy as it brings us to make it.
