Derek created Tucker's Pie Co in his mothers name sake. From the age of 10 he was in the kitchen hanging off Bernadette's apron, helping out with her catering company. Traveling to different parts of the world and sampling different cuisines, he still craved food from his British roots. Trying to find a good pie in the U.S was tricky so he went about to make his own. After trying hundreds of pastry recipes he finally perfected Tucker's signature crust. Buttery, flaky and able to hold up regardless of the filling. After overwhelming great feedback from friends he decided to launch Tucker's Pie Co from a commercial kitchen in Fairfield County, CT.
